Lighthouse Mission Hall of Fame

Gary Brosman (2000-2018)

Gary Brosman is a legend of the Lighthouse Mission. He is a close friend of Apostle Vincent Fusco and he conducted street ministry in Coney Island in the late 90s and early 2000s. He started the soup kitchen program here at the Lighthouse Mission and he assisted with all of the outreach programs and Sunday Services. Gary is currently retired and is living in Long Island with his family.

Denis Robbins (2007-2021)

Denise began as a volunteer and continued to do so for over a year when she was asked to take over the staff position overseeing our after-school program. In addition, in late 2007 she became our Food Program Coordinator. She has been the senior staff member for our mission since then. She was responsible for the daily oversight of the mission’s activities, exercising authority when necessary, making decisions in the absence of the director, working directly with clients and overseeing food distributions. Denise also handled new client sign-ups. She did all this while raising a family of 4. Currently, she is retired and takes care of her grandchildren.

Alveni Phillips (2008-2020)

Paul Payne (2009-2020)

Paul was one of our most important volunteers. He received many early-morning food shipments at the Lighthouse and organized clients during our busy food distribution hours three times a week. In November of 2020, Paul passed on to be with the Lord. He is truly missed.

Ali King (2013-2017)

Ali King was one of our most trusted volunteers. He worked with the food pantry clients and supervised the volunteers. Ali passed on in 2021 to be with the Lord. He is truly missed.
Beverly Hill (2008-2016)

Beverly Hill was a volunteer and church member who was dedicated to serving our clients and the Lord. She has gone on to be with the Lord and is truly missed.
